Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Romania and Hungary play out 1-1 draw
BUCHAREST, Oct. 11, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Romania tied 1-1 with Hungary (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night at the National Arena in Bucharest.
The Romanians started off well by taking the lead thanks to Rusescu in the 45th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Hungary with a saving goal from Dzsudzsák in the 82nd minute.
The result put the Romanians top of Group F with 4 points. Hungary is fourth with one point. In their next game, Romania will meet second-placed Finland at the National Arena on October 14, while Hungary will face the Faroe islands.
