TóRSHAVN, Oct. 14, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Hungary defeated the Faroe islands by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Tuesday night at the Torsvollur Stadium in Tórshavn.
All the action happened in the first half, with Hungarian striker Ádám Szalai goal in the 21st minute.
The result put the Hungarians fourth in Group F with 4 points. The Faroe islands is bottom with no points. In their next game, Hungary will meet third-placed Finland at the Torsvollur Stadium on November 14, while the Faroe islands will face Greece.
