BERLIN, Oct. 14, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Romania defeated Finland by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Tuesday night at the Berlin Olympic Stadium.
Stancu scored dual goals
Finland made the Romanians doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with two goals by Stancu at '54 and '83.
The result put the Romanians second in Group F with 7 points. Finland is third with 4 points. In their next game, Romania will meet group leaders Northern Ireland at the Berlin Olympic Stadium on November 14, while Finland will face Hungary.
