BUDAPEST, Nov. 14, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Hungary defeated Finland by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Friday night at the Groupama Arena in Budapest.
Finland made the Hungarians doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Gera with just 6 minutes remaining in regulation time.
The result put the Hungarians third in Group F with 7 points. Finland is fourth with 4 points. In their next game, Hungary will meet Greece at the Groupama Arena on March 29, while Finland will face Northern Ireland.
