Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Northern Ireland beats Finland 2-1
BELFAST, Mar. 29, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Northern Ireland defeated Finland by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Sunday night at Windsor Park in Belfast.
Kyle Lafferty scored dual goals
Northern Ireland dominated the first half thanks to goals from Lafferty ('33, '38). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Irishs further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by in the th minute.
The result put the Irish second in Group F with 12 points. Finland is fourth with 4 points. In their next game, Northern Ireland will meet group leaders Romania at Windsor Park on June 13, while Finland will face Hungary.
