PLOIESTI, Mar. 29, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Romania defeated the Faroe islands by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Sunday night at the Ilie Oana Stadium in Ploiesti.
All the action happened in the first half, with Keșerü goal in the 21st minute.
The result put the Romanians top of Group F with 13 points. The Faroe islands is 5th with 3 points. In their next game, Romania will meet second-placed Northern Ireland at the Ilie Oana Stadium on June 13, while the Faroe islands will face Greece.
