Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Hungary beats Finland 1-0
BERLIN, Jun. 13, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Hungary defeated Finland by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night at the Berlin Olympic Stadium.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Hungarian midfielder Zoltán Stieber with just 8 minutes remaining in regulation time.
The result put the Hungarians third in Group F with 11 points. Finland is fourth with 4 points. In their next game, Hungary will meet group leaders Romania at the Berlin Olympic Stadium on September 4, while Finland will face Greece.
