Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Northern Ireland hold Hungary to 1-1
BELFAST, Sep. 7, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Northern Ireland tied 1-1 with Hungary (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Monday night at Windsor Park in Belfast.
No goals in the first half and one each in the second, Lafferty ('90) for Northern Ireland, Guzmics ('74) for Hungary.
The result put the Irish top of Group F with 17 points. Hungary is third with 13 points. In their next game, Northern Ireland will meet Greece at Windsor Park on October 8, while Hungary will face the Faroe islands.
