Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Hungary beats Faroe islands 2-1
BUDAPEST, Oct. 8, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Hungary defeated the Faroe islands by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-1), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Thursday night at the Groupama Arena in Budapest.
Böde scored dual goals
The Faroe islands had started off well by taking the lead in the 11th minute with a goal by Jakobsen. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Hungarians nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Böde '63, '71).
The result put the Hungarians third in Group F with 16 points. The Faroe islands is 5th with 6 points. In their last game, Hungary will meet Greece at the Groupama Arena on October 11, while the Faroe islands will face Romania.
