Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Hungary loses to Greece 4-3 but qualifies for next round
ATHENS, Oct. 11, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Greece defeated Hungary by a score of 4-3 (halftime: 1-1), in a Euro qualifying game on Sunday night at the Karaiskakis Stadium in Athens.
Greek defender Kostas Stafylidis opened the score in the 5th minute, before seeing Hungary catch up in the 26th minute thanks to Lovrencsics. 1-1 at half time. The Greeks eventually won the game in the second period with three more goals by Tachtsidis ('57), Mitroglou ('79) and Kone ('86).
Hungary advance to the next round of the ongoing UEFA Euro. Greece is eliminated.Fixtures and Results : Group F
