VIENNA, Sep. 8, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Austria tied 1-1 with Sweden (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Monday night at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna.
One goal for both sides in the first half, Alaba ('7 on penalty) for Austria, Zengin ('12) for Sweden and none in the second.
The result left both teams tied in the third place of Group G with one point. In their next game, Sweden will meet group leaders Russia at the Ernst Happel Stadium on October 9, while Austria will face Moldova.
