Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Montenegro defeats Moldova 2-0
PODGORICA, Sep. 8, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Montenegro defeated Moldova by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Monday night at the Podgorica City Stadium.
Montenegro dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Vucinic in the 45th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Montenegrins further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Tomaševic in the 73rd minute.
The result put the Montenegrins second in Group G with 3 points. In their next game, Montenegro will meet Liechtenstein at the Podgorica City Stadium on October 9, while Moldova will face Austria.
