Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Sweden defeats Liechtenstein 2-0
SOLNA, Oct. 12, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Sweden defeated Liechtenstein by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Sunday night at the Friends Arena in Solna.
Sweden dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Zengin in the 34th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Swedishs further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Durmaz in the 46th minute.
The result put the Swedish third in Group G with 5 points. Liechtenstein is bottom with one point. In their next game, Sweden will meet Montenegro at the Friends Arena on November 15, while Liechtenstein will face Moldova.
