MOSCOW, Jun. 14, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Austria defeated Russia by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Sunday night at the Spartak Stadium in Moscow.
All the action happened in the first half, with Janko goal in the 33rd minute.
The result put the Austrians top of Group G with 16 points. Russia is third with 6 points. In their next game, Austria will meet Moldova at the Spartak Stadium on September 5, while Russia will face Sweden.
