Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Sweden defeats Montenegro 3-1
SOLNA, Jun. 14, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Sweden defeated Montenegro by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 3-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Sunday night at the Friends Arena in Solna.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored dual goals
Sweden dominated the first half thanks to goals from Berg ('37) and Ibrahimovic ('40, '44). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Swedishs further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by in the th minute.
The result put the Swedish second in Group G with 12 points. Montenegro is fourth with 6 points. In their next game, Sweden will meet third-placed Russia at the Friends Arena on September 5, while Montenegro will face Liechtenstein.
