Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Montenegro defeats Liechtenstein 2-0
PODGORICA, Sep. 5, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Montenegro defeated Liechtenstein by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night at the Podgorica City Stadium.
Montenegro dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Bećiraj in the 38th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Montenegrins further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Jovetić in the 56th minute.
The result put the Montenegrins fourth in Group G with 9 points. Liechtenstein is 5th with 5 points. In their next game, Montenegro will meet Moldova at the Podgorica City Stadium on September 8, while Liechtenstein will face Russia.
