CHISINAU, Oct. 9, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Russia defeated Moldova by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Friday night at the Zimbru Stadium in Chisinau.
Moldova made the Russians doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Ignashevich ('58) and Dzyuba ('78).
The result put the Russians second in Group G with 15 points. Moldova is bottom with 2 points. In their last game, Russia will meet Montenegro at the Zimbru Stadium on October 12, while Moldova will face Sweden.
