ZAGREB, Sep. 9, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Croatia defeated Malta by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Tuesday night at the Maksimir Stadium in Zagreb.
Malta made the Croatians doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Modrić ('46) and Kramarić ('81).
The result put the Croatians top of Group H with 3 points. In their next game, Croatia will meet third-placed Bulgaria at the Maksimir Stadium on October 10, while Malta will face Norway.
