TA' QALI, Oct. 13, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Italy defeated Malta by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Monday night at the Ta' Qali National Stadium.
All the action happened in the first half, with Italian striker Graziano Pellè goal in the 24th minute.
The result put the Italians second in Group H with 9 points. Malta is 5th with no points. In their next game, Italy will meet group leaders Croatia at the Ta' Qali National Stadium on November 16, while Malta will face Bulgaria.
