BAKU, Nov. 16, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Norway defeated Azerbaijan by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Sunday night at the Bakcell Arena in Baku.
All the action happened in the first half, with Norvegian midfielder Håvard Nordtveit goal in the 25th minute.
The result put the Norvegians third in Group H with 9 points. Azerbaijan is bottom with no points. In their next game, Norway will meet group leaders Croatia at the Bakcell Arena on March 28, while Azerbaijan will face Malta.
