Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Croatia beats Norway 5-1
ZAGREB, Mar. 28, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Croatia defeated Norway by a big score of 5-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night at the Maksimir Stadium in Zagreb.
Croatia dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Marcelo Brozović in the 30th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Croatians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring four times (Perisic '53, Olić '65, Schildenfeld '87 and Pranjić '90).
The result put the Croatians top of Group H with 13 points. Norway is third with 9 points. In their next game, Croatia will meet second-placed Italy at the Maksimir Stadium on June 12, while Norway will face Azerbaijan.
