PALERMO, Sep. 6, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Italy defeated Bulgaria by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Sunday night at the Stadio Renzo Barbera in Palermo.
All the action happened in the first half, with Italian midfielder Daniele De Rossi goal on penalty in the 6th minute.
The result put the Italians top of Group H with 18 points. Bulgaria is fourth with 8 points. In their next game, Italy will meet Azerbaijan at the Stadio Renzo Barbera on October 10, while Bulgaria will face Croatia.
