Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Norway beats Malta 2-0
OSLO, Oct. 10, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Norway defeated Malta by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo.
Norway dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Alexander Tettey in the 19th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Norvegians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Søderlund in the 52nd minute.
The result put the Norvegians second in Group H with 19 points. Malta is bottom with 2 points. In their last game, Norway will meet group leaders Italy at the Ullevaal Stadion on October 13, while Malta will face Croatia.
