COPENHAGEN, Sep. 7, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Denmark defeated Armenia by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Sunday night at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Højbjerg ('65) and Kahlenberg ('80).
The result put the Dane top of Group I with 3 points. In their next game, Denmark will meet third-placed Albania at the Parken Stadium on October 11, while Armenia will face Serbia.
