Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Albania and Denmark play out 1-1 draw
ELBASAN, Oct. 11, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Albania tied 1-1 with Denmark (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night at the Elbasan Arena.
The Albanians started off well by taking the lead thanks to Albanian midfielder Ermir Lenjani in the 38th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Denmark with a saving goal from Vibe in the 81st minute.
The result put the Dane top of Group I with 4 points. Albania is second with 4 points. In their next game, Denmark will meet Portugal at the Elbasan Arena on October 14, while Albania will face Serbia.
