Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Denmark beats Serbia 3-1
BELGRADE, Nov. 14, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Denmark defeated Serbia by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 0-1), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Friday night at the Partizan Stadium in Belgrade.
Nicklas Bendtner scored dual goals
Serbia had started off well by taking the lead in the 4th minute with a goal by midfielder Zoran Tošić. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Danes nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Bendtner '60, '85 and Kjær '62).
The result put the Dane top of Group I with 7 points. Serbia is fourth with 2 points. In their next game, Denmark will meet Serbia at the Partizan Stadium on June 13, while Serbia will face Portugal.
