Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Portugal beats Armenia 3-2
YEREVAN, Jun. 13, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Portugal defeated Armenia by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night at the Republican Stadium in Yerevan.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored tripple goals
Pizzelli opened the score in the 14th minute, before seeing Portugal catch up in the 29th minute thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo penalty kick. 1-1 at half time. The Portugueses eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Ronaldo ('55, '58).
The result put the Portuguese top of Group I with 12 points. Armenia is bottom with one point. In their next game, Portugal will meet second-placed Albania at the Republican Stadium on September 7, while Armenia will face Serbia.
