Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Ukraine held to a 1-1 draw by Slovenia but qualifies for 2016 Euro
MARIBOR, Nov. 17, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Slovenia tied 1-1 with Ukraine (halftime: 1-0), in the second leg of a qualifying game on Tuesday night at the Ljudski Vrt Stadium in Maribor.
The Slovenians started off well by taking the lead thanks to Slovenian defender Boštjan Cesar in the 11th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Ukraine with a saving goal from Yarmolenko in the 90th minute.
Ukraine, who won the first leg (2-0), secured their ticket to the Euro finals. Slovenia is eliminated.Fixtures and Results : Play-offs
