PLOIESTI, Sep. 8, 2019 (AMP) — Europe 2020 (Qualifiers) : Romania defeated Malta by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Euro group stage game on Sunday night at the Ilie Oana Stadium in Ploiesti.
The result put the Romanians second in Group F with 10 points. Malta is 5th with 3 points. In their next game, Romania will meet the Faroe islands at the Ilie Oana Stadium on October 12, while Malta will face Sweden.
