Europa League 2014-15 : Sevilla beats Zenit 2-1

SEVILLE, Apr. 16, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2014-15 : Sevilla defeated Zenit St Petersburg by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-1), in the first leg of a quarterfinals on Thursday night at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium in Seville.

Zenit St Petersburg had started off well by taking the lead in the 29th minute with a goal by Ryazantsev. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Los Sevillistas nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Bacca '73 and Suárez '88).

The second leg between Sevilla and Zenit St Petersburg will be played on Thursday April 23, 2015 (kick-off: 21:05) in Saint Petersburg.
