Fiorentina beats Dynamo Kiev to advance to Europa League semifinals
FLORENCE, Apr. 23, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2014-15 : Fiorentina defeated Dynamo Kiev by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the second leg of a quarterfinals on Thursday night at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence.
Fiorentina dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by German forward Mario Gómez in the 43rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Viola further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Vargas in stoppage time.
