Sevilla draws with Zenit to advance to Europa League semifinals
SAINT PETERSBURG, Apr. 23, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2014-15 : Zenit St Petersburg tied 2-2 with Sevilla (halftime: 0-0), in the second leg of a quarterfinals on Thursday night at the Petrovsky Stadium in Saint Petersburg.
Sevilla players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Colombian forward Carlos Bacca on penalty in the 6th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, and despite Gameiro goal ('85) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by Zenit St Petersburg with goals by Rondon ('48) and Hulk ('72).
