Wolfsburg beats Inter to reach Europa League quarterfinals
MILAN, Mar. 19, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2014-15 : Wolfsburg defeated Inter Milan by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in the second leg of a round of 16 game on Thursday night at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan.
Wolfsburg dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Daniel Caligiuri in the 24th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Die Wölfe further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Bendtner with one minute left in regular time.
