Europa League 2015-16 : Celtic and Fener play out 2-2 draw

GLASGOW, Oct. 1, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Celtic tied 2-2 with Fenerbahce (halftime: 2-1), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at Celtic Park in Glasgow.

Celtic players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Griffiths Leigh ('28) and Commons Kris ('32) while Fenerbahce only scored once Fernandao ('43). However, even though they were leading 2-1 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Fenerbahce with a saving goal from Fernandao in the 48th minute.

The result put Celtic second in Group A with 2 points. Fener is bottom with one point. In their next game, Celtic will meet group leaders Molde at Celtic Park on October 22, while Fenerbahce will face Ajax.
