One goal for both sides in the first half, Lallana ('4) for Liverpool, Assifuah Ebenezer ('18) for Sion and none in the second.

The result put Sion top of Group B with 4 points. Liverpool is second with 2 points. In their next game, Sion will meet third-placed Bordeaux at Anfield on October 22, while Liverpool will face Rubin Kazan.
