Europa League 2015-16 : Krasnodar defeats Qabala 2-1

KRASNODAR, Oct. 1, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Krasnodar defeated Qabala by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Kuban Stadium in Krasnodar.

Krasnodar dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Wanderson in the 8th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the “Bulls” further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Smolov Fyodor with just 6 minutes remaining in regulation time.

The result put Krasnodar second in Group C with 3 points. Qabala is bottom with one point. In their next game, Krasnodar will meet third-placed PAOK at the Kuban Stadium on October 22, while Qabala will face Borussia Dortmund.
