Europa League 2015-16 : Rapid Vienna defeats Viktoria Plzen 3-2

VIENNA, Oct. 22, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Rapid Vienna defeated Viktoria Plzen by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 1-1), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna.

Duris Michal opened the score in the 12th minute, before seeing Rapid Vienna catch up in the 34th minute thanks to Hofmann Steffen. 1-1 at half time. Die Grün-Weißen eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Schaub Louis ('52) and Petsos Thanos ('68).

The result put Rapid Vienna top of Group E with 9 points. Viktoria Plzen is third with 3 points. In their next game, Rapid Vienna will meet third-placed Viktoria Plzen at the Ernst Happel Stadium on November 5, while Viktoria Plzen will face Rapid Vienna.
