PLZEň, Nov. 5, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Rapid Vienna defeated Viktoria Plzen by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Doosan Arena in Plzeň.

Schobesberger Philipp scored dual goals

Rapid Vienna dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Schobesberger Philipp in the 13th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Die Grün-Weißen further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Schobesberger Philipp in the 77th minute.

The result put Rapid Vienna top of Group E with 12 points. Viktoria Plzen is third with 3 points. In their next game, Rapid Vienna will meet second-placed Villarreal at the Doosan Arena on November 26, while Viktoria Plzen will face Dinamo Minsk.
