VILLARREAL, Nov. 26, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Villarreal defeated Rapid Vienna by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the El Madrigal stadium in Villarreal.

45 minutes of play and neither Villarreal nor Rapid Vienna have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Villarreal midfielder Soriano Bruno in the 78th minute.

The result put Villarreal top of Group E with 12 points. Rapid Vienna is second with 12 points. In their last game, Villarreal will meet third-placed Viktoria Plzen at the El Madrigal stadium on December 10, while Rapid Vienna will face Dinamo Minsk.
