Europa League 2015-16 : Marseille defeats Groningen 2-1

MARSEILLE, Nov. 26, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Marseille defeated Groningen by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille.

Marseille dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Georges-Kévin N'Koudou in the 28th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Marseille players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Batshuayi with just 2 minutes remaining in regulation time.

The result put Marseille second in Group F with 9 points. Groningen is bottom with one point. In their last game, Marseille will meet third-placed Slovan Liberec at the Stade Vélodrome on December 10, while Groningen will face Braga.
