Europa League 2015-16 : Lokomotiv Moscow beats Sporting 3-1

LISBON, Sep. 17, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Lokomotiv Moscow defeated Sporting Lisbon by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Estádio José Alvalade in Lisbon.

Aleksandr Samedov scored dual goals

Lokomotiv Moscow dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Aleksandr Samedov in the 12th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Loko further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Samedov '56 and Niasse '65).

The result put Lokomotiv Moscow top of Group H with 3 points. In their next game, Lokomotiv Moscow will meet third-placed Skenderbeu Korce at the Estádio José Alvalade on October 1, while Sporting Lisbon will face Besiktas.
