Europa League 2015-16 : Besiktas draw 1-1 with Sporting

ISTANBUL, Oct. 1, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Besiktas tied 1-1 with Sporting Lisbon (halftime: 0-1), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul.

Sporting Lisbon players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Ruiz Bryan in the 16th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Besiktas with a saving goal from Tore Gokhan in the 61st minute.

The result put Besiktas second in Group H with 4 points. Sporting is third with one point. In their next game, Besiktas will meet group leaders Lokomotiv Moscow at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium on October 22, while Sporting Lisbon will face Skenderbeu Korce.
