BASEL, Oct. 1, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Basel defeated Lech Poznań by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at St. Jakob-Park in Basel.

Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Bjarnason ('55) and Embolo Breel ('90).

The result put Basel top of Group I with 6 points. Lech Poznań is third with one point. In their next game, Basel will meet Belenenses at St. Jakob-Park on October 22, while Lech Poznań will face Fiorentina.
