Europa League 2015-16 : Fiorentina beats Lech Poznań 2-0

POZNAń, Nov. 5, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Fiorentina defeated Lech Poznań by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the INEA Stadion in Poznań.

Josip Iličić scored dual goals

Fiorentina dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Slovenian midfielder Josip Iličić in the 42nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Viola further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Iličić with just 7 minutes remaining in regulation time.

The result put Fiorentina second in Group I with 6 points. Lech Poznań is third with 4 points. In their next game, Fiorentina will meet group leaders Basel at the INEA Stadion on November 26, while Lech Poznań will face Belenenses.
