Europa League 2015-16 : Tottenham beats Qarabag 3-1

LONDON, Sep. 17, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Tottenham defeated Qarabag by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at White Hart Lane in London.

Qarabag opened the score in the score in the 7th minute thanks to Almeida on penalty, before Tottenham regained the advantage with Heung-min ('28, '30). Leading 2-1 at the break, the Spurs further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Lamela with just 4 minutes remaining in regulation time.

The result put Tottenham top of Group J with 3 points. In their next game, Tottenham will meet second-placed Monaco at White Hart Lane on October 1, while Qarabag will face Anderlecht.
