Europa League 2015-16 : Monaco and Tottenham play out 1-1 draw

MONACO, Oct. 1, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Monaco tied 1-1 with Tottenham (halftime: 0-1), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Stade Louis II in Monaco.

Tottenham players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Argentine forward Erik Lamela in the 35th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Monaco with a saving goal from Italian forward Stephan El Shaarawy in the 81st minute.

The result put Tottenham top of Group J with 4 points. Monaco is third with 2 points. In their next game, Tottenham will meet Anderlecht at the Stade Louis II on October 22, while Monaco will face Qarabag.
