Europa League 2015-16 : Anderlecht beats Tottenham 2-1

ANDERLECHT, Oct. 22, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Anderlecht defeated Tottenham by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium in Anderlecht.

Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen opened the score in the 4th minute, before seeing Anderlecht catch up in the 13th minute thanks to Guillaume Gillet. 1-1 at half time. The “Purple and White” eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Okaka Stefano in the 75th minute.

The result put Tottenham second in Group J with 4 points. Anderlecht is third with 4 points. In their next game, Tottenham will meet third-placed Anderlecht at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium on November 5, while Anderlecht will face Tottenham.
