Europa League 2015-16 : Qarabag and Monaco play out 1-1 draw

BAKU, Nov. 5, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Qarabag tied 1-1 with Monaco (halftime: 1-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday afternoon at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium in Baku.

Qarabag players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Armenteros Samuel in the 39th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Monaco with a saving goal from Portuguese midfielder Ivan Cavaleiro in the 72nd minute.

The result put Monaco top of Group J with 6 points. Qarabag is bottom with 4 points. In their next game, Monaco will meet third-placed Anderlecht at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium on November 26, while Qarabag will face Tottenham.
