Europa League 2015-16 : Anderlecht defeats Monaco 2-0

MONACO, Nov. 26, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Anderlecht defeated Monaco by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Stade Louis II in Monaco.

Anderlecht dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Guillaume Gillet in the 45th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the “Purple and White” further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Acheampong Frank in the 78th minute.

The result put Anderlecht second in Group J with 7 points. Monaco is third with 6 points. In their last game, Anderlecht will meet Qarabag at the Stade Louis II on December 10, while Monaco will face Tottenham.
