Europa League 2015-16 : Schalke 04 beats Asteras 4-0

GELSENKIRCHEN, Oct. 1, 2015 (AMP) — Europa League 2015-16 : Schalke 04 defeated Asteras Tripolis by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 3-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen.

Franco Di Santo scored tripple goals

Schalke 04 dominated the first half thanks to goals from Di Santo Franco ('28, '37, '44 on penalty). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Royal Blues further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Huntelaar with just 6 minutes remaining in regulation time.

The result put Schalke 04 top of Group K with 6 points. Asteras is third with one point. In their next game, Schalke 04 will meet second-placed Sparta Prague at the Veltins-Arena on October 22, while Asteras Tripolis will face APOEL Nicosia.
